I’m a digital artist with nearly two decades of experience across media including television, web, and live events. My practice spans animation, video editing, illustration, compositing, design and motion graphics. My work has been seen on PBS, NPR, The Smithsonian Channel, National Geographic, and the World Science Festival.

Driven by curiosity and precision, I approach each project from the inside out — seeking solutions that are conceptually sharp, visually striking, and communicatively clear. My work leans into bold graphics, stylized forms, and a hybrid digital-handmade aesthetic.

animation

This reel features animation work created primarily for PBS science programming, including Nova and Nova scienceNOW. Spanning nearly two decades, these projects explore topics from neuroscience to cosmology, executed through 2D, 2.5D, and 3D animation, often blending research, visual storytelling, and stylistic invention. I work responsively, shifting styles to meet the needs of each project while anchoring the work in strong visual logic and timing.

Rutgers: What is Research-Driven Design?
Produced during the COVID-19 lockdown, this short promotional video introduces the MFA in Design at Rutgers’ Mason Gross School of the Arts. I handled editing, motion design, and sound, weaving together interviews, student work, and program philosophy into a cohesive piece that reflects the school’s emphasis on research, experimentation, and socially engaged design. The pacing and tone aim to balance clarity with energy—communicating both academic rigor and creative possibility.

For the final season of Nova scienceNOW, I designed, illustrated, and animated a series of short interstitials bridging segments within each episode. Each piece required a distinct visual language—ranging from hand-drawn to photo-based animation—tailored to quirky, concept-driven topics like brain science, cryptology, gut bacteria, and the smell of death. I handled everything from image sourcing and design to animation and editing, creating self-contained sequences that conveyed complex ideas with humor, clarity, and stylistic range.

compositing

This reel features compositing work from Seasons 2 through 5 of Nova scienceNOW. I worked extensively on host segments featuring Neil deGrasse Tyson, integrating green screen footage into custom-designed virtual sets and combining photographic elements, animation, and effects into layered, visually engaging sequences produced by Vincent Liota. These pieces leaned on humor, metaphor, and stylized design — using compositing to build playful, concept-driven openings that set the tone for each segment.
